Logitech Harmony 555 Settings Wed, Jan 7. 2009


As several people are still reporting problems with their settings of their Harmony remote, I fired up the Harmony Remote software and noted down all the settings I have used to configure my Harmony 555.

The settings are displayed in Dutch, as that is the version of the Logitech Harmony Remote Software (7.5.0) I'm currently using...



The settings are for the device Media Center PC (Media PortalMediaPortal), and the selection Apparaat:

Thank you a million times. Your guide is the only one that worked for me!, I tried a thousand different things and used a lot of "wrong" guides like this one: http://www.avforums.com/forums/home-entertainment-pcs/914450-configuring-logitech-harmony-antec-imon-lcd-ir-receiver.html

And I finally completely got rid of the terrible iMon software :-). Thanks again!

Hmm I cheered to soon I guess. Only d-pad (left up etc.) works. The play, pause buttons and stuff don't work (the most essential keys :p ).

I really want them to work too. I'm using;
- Logitech Harmony One (as Mediaportal Mediaportal)
- IR Server Suite 1.4.2.3281
- MediaPortal 1.0.0
- iMon VFD Retail

I tried the remote with and without the abstract model but nothing seems to work.

I am using almost the exact same setup as you, Geert-Jan, and I don't think there's a lot of difference between the 555 and One when it comes to the keys and mappings.

I must have missed something in the configuration, can you help me?

Unfortunately I can not help you any further, except that it used to be working for me, the way it's indicated on the website. I'm no longer using the Harmony remote, as my HTPC is in a closed closet right now, so I replace the Harmony with an RFC Windows Media Player compatible remote.

It's always good to know you're not alone hehe. I'll post my fix here when I'll find something :-)
